In my journey of the Salem Witch Trials I learned that sometimes it is better to confess that you are a witch instead of telling the truth that your are indeed not one. If you were to say you are not a witch you would have to go to trial. With this knowledge I told the court that I was indeed a witch. After I had confessed I was still in prison when the governor granted an amnesty, so I borrowed my jail fees from my family, and went home. When I returned home I walked in my garden, it was not like a regular garden it was dry, dead, and decaying. It looked like the devils realm. Even though I was able to return home will it ever is the same. With my neglected house or my fractured village or even my torn and neglected soul ever is the same. Will I ever be able to call it home? The Salem trials claimed Twenty five lives. Which 19 of them were claimed to be witches. When the witch trials get out of hand Reverend Increase Mather, president of Harvard College said that "that ten suspected witches should escape than one innocent person should be condemned." Reflecting

In this nine weeks in English 11. I have learned to realate to the book I am reading. You could say I have learned to read with more comprehension. When I usually read a book I cant visualize whats going on or how the author is portraying the scene. Now I am able to read more deeply into the book and relate to whats going on to me or in the world around me. I am able to read and visualize a book like a motion picture in my head. I believe I can read at a higher level than I was able to read before.
